Reading at Home Program
Dear Parents/Students: We have started a new online reading program. Students can read books from their own level. When they read 30 books from this level and do the quiz (and pass) then they receive "points." With the points they can go "go online shopping" to fill up a special place that they choose (you will understand how it works once they start reading and receiving points). I ask that if they can, to record their voice reading, if you have a microphone. Under the book, you can see listen to or read. If you read the book (the eye), then you can record your voice. Please finish the quiz when you are done reading BEFORE you go onto the next book. Ms. Meyer can check from home to see how much you are reading AND hear your voice! :) Have fun! http://www.raz-kids.com/ Log In and Password: rischool2 Then click on your name! :)

Math: Money from Around the World (Or at least our class!)
Instead of focusing on ONE currency, I've decided to ask students to learn about each of their peer's currency. Wednesday they will be tested on: 1-How to draw the flag for the country given 2-The name of the currency 3-They should recognize the money, but not have to draw it

Homework Thursday, April 14
http://www.quia.com/ba/41785.html
If you infer when you read then you are "reading between the lines." This means you're a reading detective! You use the clues in the book to predict, find out how the character feels and even use your prior knowledge!
Play this game and use the clues to infer and play battleship!
Have fun!
